After the initial onslaught of recipes, think I'm gonna cut down a little.
Seems that projects, presentations and assignments are my primary function in life right now.
So, it's too much effort to take photos of all the dishes I'm whipping up on a daily basis. 'sides, not every meal is really worthy of blogspace innit? (Would you even bother reading an entry on stir fried choy sum? Yeah...guess not.)
So here's fish and mash.
pacific dory. potatoes. carrots.
beer. flour. egg whites.
dried basil. pepper. salt.
lemon. mayo.
#1 peel the potatoes and chuck them in boiling water.
#2 start with batter. use equal amounts of flour and beer..preferably 1 cup each. and mix them together.
#3 beat 2 egg whites till white and add to the batter. mix well. add dried basil and pepper and salt.
#4 dip the fish into the batter to lightly coat.
#5 potatoes should be taken out once soft and mashed up with butter and salt and pepper. add grated carrots in.
#6 deep-fry the fish in a skillet. (cleaning up is a bitch, so if you prefer, bake the fish instead, turning once.)
#7 once done, drain off excess oil with paper.
#8 serve with a lemon wedge, tar tar sauce/mayo.
apparently i served up the best curry ever for dinner tonight, well at least according to my willing guinea pig. so here's the recipe.
best curry ever.
chicken stock. galangal. turmeric.
cumin. salt. pepper. sake.
chicken wings. capsicums. onion.
lady's fingers. eggplant. tomato.
garlic. parsley leaves.
#1 throw everything into the pot and booiiilllll...
done.
