First the chocolate chip cookies.

Then brownies.

Followed closely by a butter cake.

And now cocoa cookies.

A couple of weeks ago, baking seemed like the most straightforward approach to finish up excess flour, icing sugar, vanilla essence, baking powder and soda, and cocoa powder.

It still is. But frankly I didn't anticipate the regularity of it all.

It's 2007 all over again.
