Carpets: New Beefcake Solution

Prior to the Japan trip, I had my weight taken at the blood donor centre, just after a heavy breakfast, fully dressed and with shoes.

It showed 68.6kg.

Which came as a shock since the machine at home always showed a very very healthy 72kg sans clothes.

In the midst of exploring Kyoto, the hostel's electronic machine read 66.8kg with clothes.

So back in Sydney with my trusty machine, it again read 72kg. Bewildered at the rate at which I regained my weight, I decided to test it out on more solid ground (tiled toilet surface) as opposed to the carpet in my room.

And it read 68kg. I would never have thought that carpets contribute to a 4kg disparity.
