Surprises in Life

So, booked a last minute flight to Singapore amidst the ongoing Qantas engineer strike. And glad to say that the delay was only 30 minutes and not 24 hours!

Weird to be back in Singapore. And for the first time it's primarily because I want and need to spend time with family. Family, the only thing that ever holds me back from leaving long-term and building a future elsewhere. And it's only fitting (but tragic) that this factor has reared its head in the worst possible way.

Incidents like these do put things into perspective, giving you a different insight and drags you deep into a well you never really saw coming. A surprise, yes.

So I'm back. Unexpectedly. Still haven't got used to the heat and humidity but rather stuck in the winter mode of the Southern Hemisphere. And based on the calculations, this will be the longest time spent in Singapore since I left for greener pastures two years ago. Ah, life does throw up its surprises on you.

Long-term plans will now be revised and thought over once more.
